Rusal employees were awarded the “Talented Woman in the Mining Industry” award

According to the company’s press service, seven Rusal employees received awards in four categories from the third international award “Talented Women in the Mining Industry”. The award ceremony took place in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. In this year’s award, 120 women from 57 companies participated in the finals.

As Rusala Deputy General Manager for Human Resources Management Natalya Albrecht emphasized, it is very important for the company that 34 applications were received from female employees this year.

“This is half more than last year and almost one in four applications were evaluated by the expert jury and made it to the finals. “This shows that the company hires bright, compassionate women who have serious leadership qualities and a genuine desire to change not only the company but also the lives of others for the better,” he said.

The company announced that the acting finalists in the “Leader of the Future” category have made it to the finals of the award. Manager of the department of personnel development and organizational culture of KraMZ Maria Karkavina, manager of the department of personnel development and training, organizational culture of TaAZ Tatyana Nikishova, chief engineer of SibVAMI Kristina Khakberdieva and director of the press service of VgAZ Maria Khomutetskaya. This category recognizes professionals under the age of 35 who have demonstrated exceptional performance and leadership qualities.

Olga Savicheva, director of ecology at IrkAZ, became a finalist in the nomination “Ecologist of the Year”, and Natalya Portnova, head of quality services at IrkAZ, became a finalist in the nomination “Innovator of the Year”. In turn, Ekaterina Vidasyeva, head of the IrkAZ press service, reached the award final in the category “Intracomm of the Year”.

The winners in their categories were Karkavina, Portnova and Khomutetskaya. The decision to win was made in two stages.

Let us also remind you that the “Talented Woman in Mining Industry” award was determined by the Russian Association of Women in Mining. Its purpose is to celebrate the achievements of professionals who have made significant contributions to the development of mining, metallurgy, manufacturing and other related industries, set an example for their colleagues and are active in social and charitable activities.
