The United States has imposed trade restrictions on 42 Chinese companies because of their support for the supply of processors and other components for the Russian military-industrial complex. This was reported by Reuters.
The US Department of Commerce added 42 Chinese companies to the export control list. This was due to the supply of American microcircuits used in precision weapons to Russia. In addition to China, the list includes 7 companies from Finland, Germany, India, Turkey, UAE and the UK.
A representative of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said that this decision is a sign that the United States will stop supplying American technologies to the Russian military-industrial complex. China’s Ministry of Commerce said in a statement: “The United States should immediately correct its wrong practices and stop unjustly suppressing Chinese companies.”
Companies are added to the US Entity List when Washington deems they pose a threat to US national security or foreign policy. From now on, suppliers must obtain difficult-to-obtain licenses to supply goods to companies on the list, the publication states.
