According to information published by Politico newspaper, citing sources, US President Joe Biden’s administration is considering the possibility of using the State Department grant program to continue aid to Ukraine.

In light of uncertainty regarding the allocation of additional funds from the US Congress to aid Ukraine, the US administration is exploring alternative ways to support Kiev. One option being considered by Washington is to funnel funds through a State Department program that provides grants and loans to U.S. allies to buy American weapons.

Last week, Joe Biden said he was confident he could find the funding to continue aiding Ukraine even if Congress refused to support such programs. However, he refused to comment further on this matter.
