Foreigners won almost all labor disputes in the courts of the Russian Federation in 2023 13:13

In the first half of 2023, foreign companies applied to Russian courts in economic disputes 60 percent more often and won 9 out of 10 cases. TASS reports this with reference to the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Lebedev.

According to Lebedev, at the International Law Forum of Asia-Pacific Countries, the number of economic disputes involving foreigners in courts in January-June 2023 amounted to 10.6 thousand, an increase of 60% compared to the previous year. At the same time, foreign companies won 9.9 thousand, or 93%, of such disputes.

The president of the Supreme Court emphasized that this shows that the independence and impartiality of the Russian judicial system is preserved despite external pressures. He also noted the importance of greater interaction with the international community.
