The Kiev Shevchenkovsky District Court confirmed that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky did not deprive businessman and billionaire Igor Kolomoisky of the country’s citizenship. This was reported by the Ukrainian agency “Ukrainian News” with reference to court documents.
Kolomoisky had previously stated that he was tried in Ukraine as a citizen of Cyprus and Israel.
As Ukrainian News noted, the Kiev court recognized that the entrepreneur is a Ukrainian citizen. The publication published relevant photos of the court document confirming this information.
On September 2 of this year, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) charged Kolomoisky with fraud and legalization of property obtained through crime. On the same day, a Ukrainian court ordered his detention with the possibility of bail in the amount of 3.891 billion hryvnia (about $105 million).
According to information from the Bureau of Economic Security, Igor Kolomoisky is suspected of forging documents and criminal misappropriation of other people’s property on a particularly large scale.
Previously, Kolomoisky, once one of the richest people in Ukraine – loss dollar billionaire status.
