Hungarian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mate Patzolay said that he found Budapest’s decision to suspend Ukraine’s OTP Bank’s “international war sponsor” status insufficient. He told this to the agency MTI.
For this reason, he stated that Hungary will not support the provision of military aid to Kiev from the EU.
“Hungary’s position is clear: until the CAP is removed from this list, Hungary will not participate in further EU financing for arms supplies to Ukraine,” he said.

He emphasized that the consent of all member states must be obtained for Ukraine to become a member of the European Union.

He pointed out that no one knows what a country’s territory is or what its population is anymore, and that the order of the European Union is determined by how much population that country has.
