FAS files antitrust lawsuit against Estel

The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) filed a lawsuit against Unicosmetik, the owner of the Estel brand. This was reported by TASS.

It was noted that an investigation would be carried out regarding violations of the law on the protection of competition upon the request of IFB LLC, which accused Unicosmetic of unfair competition.

Both companies have been promoting their products under the name Blond Bar since 2017.

On September 12, it was reported that the Udmurtia department of the FAS opened cases of violation of anti-monopoly legislation against participants in the auction for the right to use the Yuzhno-Kostovatovsky oil field. According to the ministry, the price of a small plot of land with insignificant reserves during the auction increased more than 1000 times – from 628.1 thousand rubles to 693.2 million rubles. According to the FAS, two corporate cartels fought in the auction, the purpose of which was to limit competition in order to establish a monopolistically high price for hydrocarbon raw materials.
