Customs authorities and the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs are assessing the impact of the European Commission’s explanatory note on Russians on the import of a number of goods for personal use. This was reported by RIA News.
“The Ministry of Customs and Foreign Affairs is currently evaluating the impact of this explanatory note on the situation in Finland,” the statement said.
It was noted that additional statements on this issue will be published in the near future.
Before that the European Commission (EC) approvedVehicles of Russian tourists are subject to EU restrictions. EC representative Daniel Sheridan Ferry stated this at a press conference in Brussels. He added that EU countries cannot confiscate personal belongings of Russian citizens entering the European Union, even though some of them are on the list of prohibited items for import.
