Vice President of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin, at the “Growing Brands of the Far East” visit session of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), said that statistics show that there are many more entrepreneurs in Russia in the last 10 years.

“Once upon a time Igor Ivanovich [Шувалов, председатель ВЭБ.РФ] I started a project aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, and then a lot was said about how few people in Russia want to become entrepreneurs, it’s a matter of inspiration. Now statistics show that in Russia this figure has increased significantly over the last 10 years. More and more people want to become entrepreneurs, create their own brands, highlight their ideas,” said Oreshkin.

Discussion participants discussed the increasing demand of the country’s citizens for products of domestic brands in the field of tourism, clothing and food production. Representatives of local companies explained what makes them unique in the fast performance format. During the event, a number of successful Russian projects were presented, covering various areas of activity of Khabarovsk cartoonists, from backpacks to jewelry made of concrete and swimsuits with prints in the form of tattoos.

“Today we saw many wonderful people who achieved their dreams and filled the whole country with their positive energy. I hope that these people do more, achieve better results, others join them and become stronger by competing fiercely with each other, working not only for our market but for the entire world market. World. As we see, many people are already doing this. Thank them for what they do, for every day, for every new idea, for tackling every new problem. We thank them for existing and we will support them,” concluded Maxim Oreshkin.

The vice president also noted that there is almost no vacant retail space left, and if we consider large cities and shopping centers, all the spaces vacated after the departure of Western brands have already been filled. “For example, in Moscow there are already many Russian brands that sell their products there,” he said.
