Public heat and energy enterprises (DHP) in Ukraine are forced to stop the supply of hot water, prepare for the heating season and file bankruptcy a month before the start of the heating season. This was reported on the website of the Union of Cities of Ukraine, headed by the mayor of Kiev, Vitaliy Klitschko.
The association said the local government has sounded the alarm over a shortage of hot water, a lack of funds to supply government employees and the public with heat and gas at special prices. The organization stated that since September 1, DH companies have been disconnected from the special obligations mechanism (PSO), so “there will be no warming under these conditions.”
