Russia’s Energy Ministry hopes to stop gray fuel exports

It is reported that the Ministry of Energy of Russia has submitted the draft decree banning the export of gray fuel to the Government and the Presidential Administration DEA News With reference to Pavel Sorokin, First Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation.

Sorokin said the ministry hopes the bill will be adopted early.

“Final evaluation is being made, I hope we can ban these gray exports in the coming days and only factories will have the right to export. This will also be a great support for prices, including the domestic market,” he said.

Formerly Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation sent Request from 70 oil and gas companies to provide data on the production and export of gasoline, diesel fuel and liquefied gas.

In the letter, First Deputy Minister of Energy Pavel Sorokin asks companies, including the largest companies such as Rosneft, Gazprom Neft, LUKOIL, SIBUR, NOVATEK and others, as well as independent refineries, to provide data on gasoline and diesel fuel production.
