Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been sued by PariMatch, demanding that sanctions against him be lifted. RBC-Ukraine reports on this issue with reference to data published in the Unified State Register of Court Orders of Ukraine.
PariMatch is demanding the lifting of sanctions imposed by the Ukrainian authorities due to the company’s ties to Russia and Belarus. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of the Cypriot company Weplay Media Holding Limited, to which the PariMatch trademark is registered. It is noteworthy that the defendant in the case is the President of Ukraine himself. The first hearing will be held on September 5th.
Previously reportedUkrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree imposing sanctions on 18 companies registered in Russia, Luxembourg, Cyprus and the British Virgin Islands.
Prior to that, Zelensky had imposed sanctions on more than 190 individuals and 291 legal entities from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Georgia for 10 years.
