According to the press service of the bank, Sberbank and MGIMO signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of education, science and career guidance.
The cooperation agreement was signed by Sberbank President and Chairman of the Board German Gref and MGIMO Rector Anatoly Torkunov. The parties plan to implement joint projects of educational, scientific, career guidance, educational and informative nature. They also agreed to promote new qualifications and occupations and expand practical opportunities for MGIMO students and graduates.
As Gref recalls, MGIMO is a longtime partner of Sberbank. According to him, company employees teach courses on digital finance, digital tourism and Islamic banking at the university, prepare case files for MBA students and master’s programs in artificial intelligence.
“About 700 MGIMO students graduated from the joint re-education program last year, and in the new academic year, more than 1,000 university students will study in the Digital Division, which has been implemented with our School 21. It is planned to create a joint bachelor’s degree in business informatics and financial technologies. And these are far from all our projects,” he added.
In addition, the cooperation includes the implementation of acceleration programs for the development of young people’s technological entrepreneurship, and consultancy support to MGIMO training programs in information technology, economics and finance.
It also includes the development of MGIMO’s digital and material and technical infrastructure, the creation and development of new educational technologies and innovative digital education models.
