Analyst Andrian Prokip of the Ukraine Future Institute announced that there will be a possible increase in energy prices in Europe. This has been reported DEA News.

He argues that due to a similar problem, the Ukrainian side may face a reduction in imports necessary to meet demand this winter. According to Prokip, it is not possible for Kiev to cope with this situation alone.

The expert added that Ukraine has a capacity shortage in the energy system due to the repair campaign, and that there is a risk of capacity shortage in case of extreme cold weather in winter and increased consumption.

“Also, the question is what will be the price situation in Europe in winter, what will be the probability of imports given the current price restrictions in the market,” added Prokip.

According to the company, “due to hostilities and technical reasons”, 384 settlements are out of power, while another 75 settlements are without electricity due to bad weather conditions.
