Russia is one of the Campari group’s key markets for Aperol sales, along with Germany, France, Italy and the USA. In 2022, the company sold about 3% of the total volume of products sold in Russia and Ukraine. In the January-March period of this year, the group’s international sales increased by almost 20%.
At the end of March last year, Davide Campari-Milano NV announced the restriction of business in Russia. This was related to the reduction of advertising in Russia and the promotion of the group’s drinks, as well as the suspension of investments. It has been announced that Campari will reduce its business in the country to the minimum required. But the manufacturer will continue to sell alcohol in Russia. Davide Campari-Milano NV has been operating on the Russian market since 2011. The company produces Campari and Cinzano vermouth and Mondoro champagne.
