London court refuses to lift sanctions against Abramovich’s partner

The London High Court has rejected the case to lift the sanctions against the partner of billionaire and businessman Roman Abramovich Yevgeny Shvidler. It has been reported Reuters.

The assets of Tinkov and Shvidler were frozen on March 24, Sberbank chairman German Gref, his deputy Alexander Vedyakhin, former first vice president of the bank Lev Khasis and others were also subjected to similar sanctions.

Gref and his colleagues were denied entry to the UK, while Tinkov and Shvidler were not restricted from entering the country. At the same time, its planes and yachts are prohibited from entering ports, flying in national airspace and landing at UK airports. These restrictions have now been lifted.

Prior to this, more than 20 yachts that may belong to Russian businessmen or companies subject to EU sanctions were arrested by Finnish customs. It was noted that at the end of last week, the customs informed the companies that serve for the winter storage of yachts that the ships cannot be taken anywhere.
