From the beginning of autumn, export taxes on oil will increase in Russia

From September 1, the export duty on oil in Russia will be increased by $4.5 per ton to $21.4. In this respect knowledgeable Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

According to the ministry, during the monitoring period from July 15 to August 14, the average price of Ural oil was $70.33 per barrel, or $513.4 per ton.

Based on this, the Ministry of Finance has calculated that from September 1, the oil tax will increase from the current $16.9 to $21.4 per ton. Taxes on petroleum products will also be increased.

Specifically, according to TASS, the tax on light petroleum products will rise to $6.4 per ton, and the tax on dark-colored products will rise to $21.4 per ton. The tax on gasoline will be $6.4 per ton. The tax for liquefied gas remains unchanged.

The increase in the export tax on oil will lead to additional revenues for the RF budget. But that means lower export earnings for Russian oil companies.
