According to the MP, the market alone cannot create a pricing policy that meets the needs of citizens. Arefiev believes that the government should take measures to keep prices at an acceptable level and that there should be no outside observers in the market economy.
The MP noted that until recently, taxi rides were not very expensive. But the rise in fuel, fuel and lubricants, automobile prices eventually led to an increase in tariffs for passengers.
Arefiev is confident that the government must influence the factors that indirectly affect pricing in the taxi market. In particular, the MP proposed the abolition of customs duties on the import of cars, which would lead to lower costs and therefore have a positive effect on taxi prices.
