In the fall, the price of sausages and sausages can increase by 5-10%, and this is not the limit. Such an estimate was given to the Telegram channel Baza by two sources from manufacturers of semi-finished products.
A source from the top management of the Myasnitsky Ryad company told the channel that the main problem in the production of meat products in Russia at the moment is the meat itself.
“Despite the sanctions, there are no problems with the equipment and components. The business finds ways to get the necessary equipment. But the price of meat increased – more than 30%. This is noticeable not only in wholesale, but also in retail prices. For example, in July… the price of chicken meat broke a historical record”.
The source at another company admitted that there will not be a sharp increase in the prices of meat products. The source said that due to long-term contracts with retailers, producers have to justify each price increase and therefore producers plan to increase prices by 5-10% on average.
In July, the average price of one kilogram of chicken meat reached 196.93 rubles, which is traced to the historical maximum of Rosstat data. According to the statistics of the department, the current cost of chicken is much higher than the previous maximum in April 2022 – 190.85 rubles per kg. The average cost of a chicken in June was 193.48 rubles and increased by 6.8% compared to the month.
According to a survey by the Public Opinion Foundation, 35% of Russians noticed an increase in meat prices in June, about a third in milk and dairy products, and 29% in fish and seafood prices.
