The introduction of a minimum hourly wage could help increase the wages of healthcare workers. Such an offer in an interview with the “Public News Service” expression oncologist Vadim Gutnik. He noted that increasing the salaries of doctors is a complex issue.
“The problem is not just for doctors. We have a so-called minimum wage. We are somewhere between Algeria and Mongolia on this minimum wage. What should be done? Simply enter the minimum hourly wage. In the US, it’s about $18 today. And we are talking about unskilled labor. Let’s do the same with us,” Gutnik suggested.
The expert emphasized that the salaries of medical professionals in Russia should be increased. He believes it should be doubled in size.
