Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Russia Vladimir Chistyukhin said that the regulator supports the bill of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation on the opening of branches of foreign credit institutions in the Russian Federation. It was reported on the newspaper’s website “News”.
The bill assumes that friendly foreign banks will have the opportunity to open branches in the territory of the Russian Federation due to the appropriate accreditation.
Chistyukhin emphasized that such branches can focus on the function of agreements, which will become a convenient form for foreign partners in banking activities.
The publication states that under the draft law, new structures will be prohibited from transacting with individuals, opening deposits, as well as collecting funds in deposits and accounts in precious metals.
