The Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce (IRCC) has expressed its desire to create a system that would allow Russian companies to purchase Italian goods allowed to enter the country. About this in an interview with RIA Novosti declaration Ferdinando Pelazzo, head of the IRTP, stated that the system will include payment in rubles.
Pelazzo said there are currently difficulties in the exchange of goods between Russia and Italy, including product categories not covered by the sanctions.
“We want to create a system that will allow the Russian buyer to pay us in rubles, and then we can transfer that money from our account in a third country to Italy,” Pelazzo said.
According to him, it will take several months to establish such a mechanism, as it will be necessary to negotiate with banks, find a third country and establish relations with its financial regulator.
