The air carrier’s press service, citing the company’s annual report, says the largest Russian airline Aeroflot is recycling all the old flight attendants’ uniforms, tons of newspapers and thousands of blankets.

“One hundred percent of Aeroflot flight attendant uniforms are sent for recycling,” the airline said in its 2022 report.

Aeroflot also published information on recycling of comfort products used on the airline’s flights in 2022. Of this, 67 tons are glass, 256 tons are newspapers and magazines, 59 thousand are blankets, pillows, blankets, headrests and mattresses.

The airline also noted in its report that the company has reduced its carbon footprint by operating a young fleet and implementing an energy conservation and energy efficiency program by 2030.

Aeroflot is Russia’s largest airline. The group of the same name also includes the airlines Rossiya and Pobeda. In 2022, Aeroflot carried 20.5 million, 40.7 million if we take into account the airlines of the group.
