Clothes from Iran and CIS countries suit 60% of Russians

More than half of Russians -60%- are satisfied with the clothing and accessories of new brands that come to replace companies from Iran, CIS countries, Turkey, China, Korea and Russia that have left or reduced their presence in the country. . This is due to the results of the MoneyMan online lending service survey owned by socialbites.ca. As part of the study, respondents had to answer the question whether they consider the products of new brands as a high-quality alternative to those that have disappeared from the Russian market as a whole.

34% of the participants are not satisfied with the clothing and accessories of the new brands. The rest hesitated to answer. More than half of the respondents -71%- are satisfied with home appliances and electronics of new brands, 22% opposed it, the rest did not respond.

“According to the results of the research, consumers primarily liked white goods and electronic products. This is largely due to the wide selection of Chinese brands and products at an acceptable price-quality ratio. In the clothing segment, the trend is associated with the arrival of fashion brands from Southwest Asia, especially Turkey and Iran.”

In the “Furniture” category, those who were dissatisfied with the products of the new brands had a clear advantage of 52% versus 37% of those who were satisfied. 11% found it difficult to answer.

In the cosmetics and perfumery category, opinions are almost evenly split: 39% were satisfied with the new products and 40% were dissatisfied. The rest did not answer the question.

While 15% of the participants are not satisfied with new brand cars, the rate of those who are satisfied with new cars is 12%.

“It’s worth mentioning here that the large number of people – 73% – found it difficult to answer. This is due to the high cost of goods in this category, so most participants did not have the opportunity to evaluate them in use,” he said.

The survey was conducted between 1-10 July 2023. 3,000 people over the age of 18 participated across Russia.
