Stating that the share of new trains in the Moscow subway has increased from 12 percent to 71 percent since 2010, Sobyanin described this figure as the best among the US and European subways. The press service of the Moscow Ministry of Transport told the agency that work on replacing old trains with new ones is planned to be completed after 2040.

Sobyanin also talked about the renewal of the tram fleet. He noted that in 2025, new trams will completely replace the old ones.

At the same time, according to him, 1.7 million Muscovites travel by taxi. He described the taxi system in the capital as “profitable and affordable”, noting that the pick-up time was four minutes. According to the mayor, there are 31,000 vehicles in the car-sharing park.
