More than 400 people in New Zealand have had their pensions cut due to anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the country’s government. This has been reported TASS With reference to the Stuff publication.

It is claimed that 420 people who received pensions from the Russian Pension Fund could not use the money allocated to them due to the sanctions against Russia.
As a result, nothing can be done without a social security agreement with Russia, without changing local legislation or lifting sanctions whose revision is planned for 2025.
The New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the sanctions against Russia are not a reason for blocking the accounts of New Zealand citizens who can receive a pension at the Russian Federation Pension Fund.
