The publication noted that this amount indicates increased costs to achieve carbon neutrality. The EC also believes that some of the amount will come from private sources.
According to the agency, the EU has already allocated €578 billion for the development of renewable energy and other clean technologies between 2021 and 2027. This amount will help the countries of the region to approach energy security.
