The EU is considering the possibility of increasing the volume of natural gas supplies for storage in Ukraine against the backdrop of filling European storage facilities. It has been reported Bloomberg with reference to sources.

“With Europe’s gas reserves already more full than usual, market participants are turning their attention to Ukraine with risky but large storage and lower tariffs,” the report said.

According to expectations, it was noted that the volume of orders for fuel supply to Ukraine will increase in the third quarter of the year.

Previously, Bloomberg, European officials also take into account Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities for gas storage.

According to the agency, we are talking about the Bilche-Volitsko-Uhersky storage facility in Ukraine, located 96 km from the Polish border and capable of receiving 17 billion cubic meters of gas. In total, Ukrainian UGS facilities hold 30 billion cubic meters of gas.
