A bill on the abolition of personal income tax (PIT) for citizens earning less than 30 thousand rubles per month will be submitted to the State Duma. This will be done by State Duma deputies from the Liberal Democratic Party, reports TASS.
The authors of the initiative will finalize the “Law on Amending Article 217 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation” and amend it so that Russians with an income of less than 30 thousand rubles will have a zero personal income tax rate. According to them, this would allow such citizens to retain most of the money they earn and improve their standard of living.
The Liberal Democratic Party believes this amount is the most appropriate threshold for the abolition of personal income tax. It is almost twice the minimum wage (minimum wage), so this proposed support measure for low-income citizens will “get really tangible”.
Earlier, the newspaper Izvestiya wrote that in the second quarter of this year, revenues from personal income taxes (PIT) started in the budgets of 15 Russian regions. grow After the recession of early 2023. According to the publication, the treasury of the Chuvash Republic showed the greatest increase in such tax revenues (+15.8%) compared to the same period in 2022.
