“Digital currency will add to cash and non-cash money, providing an opportunity to choose from and save on bank commissions. You cannot earn interest or receive cashback on account balance. At the same time, it is planned that there will be no limit on transfers made with digital rubles. It will be possible to transfer any amount without commission,” said Glazkov.
According to him, the digital ruble should be in addition to cash and non-cash payments. In addition, Russians will be able to save on bank commissions.
He added that testing of the digital currency will begin soon. For starters, 15 banks will pass the test. It is likely that bugs will be resolved and operating mechanisms adjusted during testing. After a successful experiment, it will be accepted everywhere and ordinary people will be able to use it.
