At the end of last year, the revenue of the 50 largest non-financial public companies (organizations in the non-financial sector that have stopped publishing reports since 2022 or are in the public domain) reached 66 trillion rubles. In this respect informs TASS, referring to the analysts of the ACRA rating agency.
“Against the worsening geopolitical situation, 2022 has been a difficult year for many sectors of the Russian economy. However, the state managed to mitigate the negative impact of sanctions pressure. One of the indicators of economic stability can be considered as the continuous growth in the revenues of the 50 largest non-financial public companies. In 2022, the indicator increased by 4% to 66 trillion rubles,” says the analysts’ materials.
In 2022, eight companies from the oil and gas sector and 11 companies from the metallurgy sector took part in the top 50. The list also includes six retail and electricity companies. 3 companies from the transportation sector and 16 companies from the “other” category took part.
According to analysts, by 2017, the income of the top 50 participants increased, on average, at the rate of inflation. Then the growth rate started to outpace inflation. Since 2019, the indicator has stabilized at 42-49%. In 2021 it was 48%, in the past – 44%. According to ACRA estimates, this figure may approach 50% in 2023-2025.
