Sber has selected 25 startups to join the fourth wave of the Sber500 international accelerator, the bank’s press service reported.
The teams started training for six weeks. Successful graduates will have the opportunity to test their solutions in Sberbank and 30 partner institutions and sign long-term contracts and attract investments according to the results of the pilot implementation.
“When selecting projects to join the accelerator, we paid particular attention to the innovation of the solutions and their applicability in priority areas for Sber and our partners. Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank, I am sure that at the end of the accelerator, participating initiatives will gain invaluable experience and knowledge from the best international experts.
In total, 1,250 startup accelerators from 36 countries applied to join. Of these, 150 attended the basic training camp, a quality training phase consisting of a series of workshops and practical assignments with international consultants. Top 25 projects were selected for acceleration, including startups from Russia, India, and Turkey.
The accelerator training will conclude with a Demo Day, where newcomers will talk with Sberbank management, investors and representatives of companies that are actively implementing innovations.
