A bill has been submitted to the State Duma obliging sellers to indicate the cost of one kilogram of goods on the price tag. About this RIA Novosti declaration Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Liberal Democratic Party.

“In order to fully inform consumers and prevent abuse of consumer confidence, it has been proposed that sellers be required to specify additional information about the price of goods in a generally accepted unit of measure on the price tags of goods,” Chernyshov said in an explanatory statement. note on the invoice.

According to him, in recent years, sellers of household chemicals are trying to sell less goods for the same money. At the same time, honest packaging of goods is becoming even rarer. For example, while milk and juice were sold in 0.8-0.9 liter bottles, pasta was reduced to 0.4 kg. A pack of butter lost 250 grams to 180 grams in 15 years.

He added that the only statement that applies to such manufacturers is scammers. In this case, absolutely everyone loses, but buyers suffer first and foremost. Therefore, at the legislative level it is necessary to oblige sellers to indicate on their price tags the cost of a kilogram or a liter of goods.

In early June last year, St. Petersburg Parliament wanted oblige sellers of food retail chains to indicate on price tags the cost of goods per 1 kilogram or 1 liter. The author of the initiative, United Russia Anton Solovyov, noted that recently food manufacturers have significantly reduced the volume and weight of goods on price tags.
