Russia became the only country in the European region where food prices started to fall after the April results. In this respect informs RIA Novosti cites its calculations.
The publication pointed out that in April 2023, food prices in Russia decreased by 0.22% on an annual basis. At the same time, Switzerland was the country with the lowest food inflation among European countries – where food prices rose 5.4% compared to a year ago.
The study showed that inflation below 10% was observed in Belarus (6.1%), Cyprus (6.7%) and Albania (9.6%). At the same time, the highest food inflation was experienced in Hungary, where this figure was 39% in April.
