The recently relaunched air service between Russia and Georgia has given Russian tourists new opportunities to travel to Europe, an “incomprehensible decision”. In this respect writer Polish portal Onet.

According to data published on the Georgian Airways website, passengers transiting through the Georgian capital from Moscow will soon be able to fly to the following countries: Austria (Graz), Germany (Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main), Italy (Naples), Netherlands (Amsterdam) , France (Nancy) and Israel (Tel Aviv) and Saudi Arabia (UF, Dammam).
Ticket sales for some of these destinations have not started yet.

The publication says that from June 15, Russians will have the opportunity to fly via Tbilisi to Milan, Thessaloniki, Paris, Larnaca, Vienna.

The article states, “For Russians, the expansion of flights via Tbilisi is bad news and another surprising step towards making it easier for Russians to travel to Europe.”

The flight ban to Georgia, which was imposed on Russian airlines in June 2019, was lifted on May 10 by a decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. From May 15, the visa regime for Georgian citizens to enter Russia has been canceled.
