According to Satkaliyev, all necessary infrastructure will be provided as soon as the negotiations are completed. Noting that next year will be the autumn-winter season, he estimated the approximate preparation conditions.

The minister said that in mid-May, Kazakh authorities were discussing the transit of Russian gas to Uzbekistan. He said the talks were progressing constructively. In April, Uzbekistan Energy Minister Zhurabek Mirzamakhmudov noted that gas supply from Russia to Uzbekistan is planned to be made through the Central Asia-Central natural gas pipeline.
During the meetings between the Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan Vladimir Putin and the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Moscow on November 28, they discussed the idea of forming a tripartite gas union between Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. According to their plans, the union was to help coordinate the actions of countries in the framework of transporting fuel from their regions. On the same day, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev confirmed the authenticity of the relevant negotiations.
