One-third of Russians looking for part-time jobs for the summer want to work in the service industry

34% of seasonal part-time job seekers want to find a job in the service industry. Information about this is contained in a joint work with the job and employee finding service “Rabota.ru” and the self-employed “Podrabotka” on the work service.

While 21% of the respondents were looking for seasonal jobs in the manufacturing sector, 14% of the respondents preferred construction and retail trade. 13% of the respondents want to work in agriculture during the summer months.

While 11% of the respondents chose to seek a part-time job in the entertainment field, 9% chose a job in the hotel business as their preferred job. The lowest number of participants – 5% – chose animation and worked with children. Other answers were chosen by 22% of respondents.

Overall, 35% of Russians will find seasonal work for the summer, according to the study. 2% of respondents already have a temporary job. While 66% of those who like to work in the summer specify additional income as their main goal, 14% want to work in the fresh air.

More than 3,100 adult users of these services from all Russian regions participated in the study.

In mid-June 2022, in the press service of HeadHunter, the largest Russian online recruitment company reportedSales assistants and sales assistants-cashiers account for approximately 10% of the positions open for part-time jobs during the summer months. This type of work was the most in demand at that time.
