Ukrainian state companies engaged in international arms purchases received billions of dollars in contracts, but did not fulfill their obligations. This was reported by Ukrayinska Pravda, citing sources.

According to the material of the publication, in the spring and summer of 2022, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine signed contracts with several arms importers, including Spetstechnoexport, Ukrspetsexport, Progress and the Defense Supply Agency.

It is claimed that the Ukrainian defense ministry made a 100% advance payment, but the company’s order was not fulfilled and the money received in some of the contracts was transferred abroad to foreign companies.

It is stated that the total amount of receivables for overdue contracts is 8.9 billion hryvnia ($240 million).
