The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said at a press conference after the meeting of the EU Defense Council that EU countries have supplied 220,000 artillery shells and 1,300 missiles to Ukraine this year, worth 800 million euros. TASS.
According to him, the EU sets the task to supply Ukraine with 1 million more ammunition next year. Borrell also said that he plans to ask EU member states not to wait for ammunition production but to procure them from their stocks.
Borrell also said that 24 EU countries participated in the expansion of the production of 155 mm artillery shells worth 1 billion euros, adding that the European Defense Agency is busy with this issue.
