Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning said the inspection of US-based Micron, which resulted in Chinese authorities banning critical infrastructure operators from purchasing the company’s products, was a necessary national security measure. On May 21, China’s State Cyberspace Office banned national critical information infrastructure operators from purchasing products from US chip maker Micron Technology, Reuters reported.
