Dusko Perovic, head of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) representation in the Russian Federation, said Republika Srpska is ready to pay for Russian gas in rubles. It has been reported DEA News.
According to Perovich, since Gazprom renews the main contract every year, BiH gets the market price, but according to the old formula.
“We are ready to pay in rubles. This is a technical issue. Of course, we are having difficulties in payments today because transfers made through correspondent banks are delayed.”
Perović was previously the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina. will start negotiations on the construction of a gas pipeline for the supply of Russian gas to the country. According to him, the BiH Council of Ministers approved the start of the negotiation process. Perovich also stressed that if negotiations were previously conducted at the level of the Russia – Bosnia and Herzegovina intergovernmental commission, the negotiations will now be conducted with Serbia, as BiH will be connected to the Serbian pipeline transit system.
