The Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) government will begin negotiations on the construction of a gas pipeline that will supply Russian gas to the country. About it in an interview DEA News said Dusko Perovich, head of the Republika Srpska representation in Russia.
According to him, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina approved the start of the negotiation process. Perovic also stressed that if negotiations were previously conducted at the Russia – Bosnia and Herzegovina intergovernmental commission level, negotiations will now be conducted with Serbia, as BiH will be connected to Serbia’s pipeline transit system.
Perovich stressed that after the government’s approval, this issue will be discussed at the BiH Presidency. According to the diplomat, two members of the Presidency Council will not support this decision. Therefore, the issue will be discussed further in the country’s Parliamentary Assembly.
Perovich also said that it is planned to form a working group to solve the problem of the construction of the pipeline.
