Due to the lack of fleet, the port “Yuzhny” was stopped. This was reported by the Maritime Ports Administration of Ukraine (USPA).

The reason for the port’s suspension, according to the USPA, is allegedly not allowing Russia to join the grain deal. It is stated that this is a gross violation of the signed agreement.

“So Russia found a new way to reduce the effectiveness of the Grain Deal and, by extension, reduce exports for the world’s needs,” the USPA said in a statement.

It is emphasized that the port of Yuzhny is the largest port in terms of throughput and its exclusion will significantly affect the decrease in export volumes.

The USPA also stated that Russia has blocked the port for about a month and now has more than 1.5 million tons of agricultural products in it that must be loaded onto 26 ships awaiting in Turkish territorial waters.

Previously, the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky, the country’s relating to Doubling the volume of exports of agricultural products under the grain agreement.
