In addition to China and India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and South Korea are the main buyers of Russian energy resources in Asia. The article also states that it accounts for 15% of the total exports of raw materials from the Russian Federation to this region.
“The volume of coal exports in April increased by about a third compared to a year ago, reaching 7.46 million tons. The discounts offered by Moscow also contribute to the growth of Russia’s energy exports to Southeast Asia. The note states that this is due to the imposition of international sanctions, including a price ceiling for Russian oil and petroleum products.
