The restrictions on the export of Russian grain under the grain agreement have not been lifted to date. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev.

“You are all well aware of the current constraining factors in the current situation – these are the difficulties associated with mutual settlement, freight, ship insurance. Unfortunately, we could not solve these problems determined by our country within the framework of the grain agreement. So far, unfortunately, these have not been resolved,” Patrushev said at the plenary session of the All-Russian Grain Forum.

18 May Russian Foreign Ministry approved Extension of the grain deal by two months until 17 July without changes. According to Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the next two months of the Black Sea initiative will be decisive for its future.

As explained in the ministry, it is necessary to reconnect Rosselkhozbank to SWIFT, unblock transport logistics and insurance, supply spare parts, revitalize the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline and dissolve the assets of Russian companies in order to further expand the Black Sea initiative.
