According to the results of the first quarter of this year, the sales prices of kitchen, office and retail furniture in the Russian domestic market decreased by about 7%. Such dynamics are recorded against the background of a decrease in the number of producers and a decrease in consumer demand, informs The newspaper “Kommersant”, citing statistical data from analysts of the Furniture and Woodworking Industries Association (AMDPR).

“According to the results of the first quarter of 2023, the sales prices of furniture manufacturers decreased by 7 percent on average compared to the previous year. Prices are reduced for retail and office furniture, kitchen furniture, metal furniture.

AMDPR concluded that prices for the above types of furniture fell due to falling prices for plywood (-49% year-on-year) and a range of components, including fiberboard, fiberboard and MDF (-26-39%).
