Iranian Oil Minister Javad Oudji said that the Russian Federation and Iran are discussing joint development of ten new oil and gas fields in the republic. It has been reported TASS.

“We cooperate with reputable Russian companies in the oil and gas sector,” said the head of the Iranian department.

According to him, several contracts have been signed between countries in the last two years, some deposits are already being developed by Russia.

“We have ten more areas of cooperation that we have decided to include our Russian colleagues in,” Oudzhi said.

The minister also added that Iran is continuing negotiations on joint projects with the Russian transnational energy company Gazprom, with a total cost of $40 billion.
