Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation has plans to develop the Northern Sea Route together with partner countries. The head of state said this in a meeting with members of the government, reports TASS.
The Russian leader noted that the Northern Sea Route has been opened and that climate change is taking place.
Putin said that foreign partners who want to improve their relations with the Russian Federation are also interested in the NSR and are working in this area.
The President also described the development of the Northern Sea Route as one of the strategic priorities of Russia, emphasizing that it is impossible to save on it.
In early May, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed An order that complements the plan to develop the Northern Sea Route by 2023 with new measures.
The plan to develop the Northern Sea Route by 2035 was approved in August last year. In total, the plan includes more than 150 events, the total amount of funds is about 1.8 trillion rubles.
