A group of U.S. congressmen representing a subcommittee of the House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce has passed a bill banning the importation of uranium from Russia into the country. writes about it DEA News based on voting results.

It is possible that they will continue to import limited Russian uranium until 2028.

A separate bill has also been submitted to the US Senate to ban the import of Russian uranium. Legislators want American energy companies not to be dependent on nuclear fuel from the Russian Federation.
