Russian officials reach agreement to sell Volkswagen’s Russian assets to Avilon

Russian authorities have agreed to sell the Russian assets of the German automaker Volkswagen to the structure of the Avilon dealer holding. It has been reported interfax referring to a resource in the market, is familiar with the government commission.

The report states that “Avilon company has received permission to buy 100% stake in the Russian representative office of VW (Volkswagen Group Rus LLC).

According to the agency, Avilon will also take over control of Volkswagen Components and Services LLC, Scania Leasing LLC, Scania Finance LLC and Scania Insurance LLC.

The amount of transactions at the current exchange rate is 10.5 billion rubles. If a company has to purchase currency from the domestic market, the purchase amount will be limited to a daily limit of 50 million Euros.
